CE & COMPLIANCE
CE marking documentation preparation for machinery
Does your machine or equipment require CE marking, but the necessary documentation is missing, incomplete or needs to be organised before delivery? CE Point helps prepare a documentation package that reflects the actual machine and its technical solution.
You do not need to know exactly which document is missing before contacting us. We start by reviewing the machine and the information already available, define the scope of work, and prepare or organise the agreed documentation.
CE marking must be supported by technical documentation, risk assessment, a technical file and the necessary inspections or tests applicable to the specific machine. Our role is to help the manufacturer bring these materials together systematically and align the documentation with the machine’s construction, safety measures and completed checks.

SERVICE SCOPE
CE documentation tailored to your machine
CE Point helps companies prepare and organise CE marking documentation for machinery and equipment, from an audit of existing materials to the technical file, instructions, inspection records and preparation of an EU Declaration of Conformity draft.
01
CE documentation audit
We review machine information, drawings, diagrams, instructions and other available material. We identify gaps and determine which CE marking documentation needs to be prepared or updated.
02
Risk assessment
We help identify hazards related to the machine, existing protective measures and risks that need to be documented so that the assessment reflects the machine’s actual construction and intended use.
03
Technical file
We help prepare and structure the machine’s technical documentation so that the information required for the project is organised, understandable and easy to locate.
04
Inspection and test records
We prepare inspection sheets and test records based on the actual machine so that relevant checks and results can be documented consistently.
05
Operating and safety instructions
We prepare or organise instructions describing the machine’s operation, adjustment, maintenance and safe use in accordance with its actual design and intended application.
06
EU Declaration of Conformity draft
Once the required assessment steps and supporting evidence are in place, we can prepare a draft EU Declaration of Conformity for the manufacturer to review and sign.
07
CE nameplate and serial production
We help define the required nameplate information, serial-number management, final inspection records and practical principles for maintaining CE documentation in serial production.
HOW IT WORKS
How CE Point prepares the documentation
01
You send machine information or files
Drawings, electrical and pneumatic diagrams, instructions, technical data, photographs and any existing inspection or test records.
02
We review the available information
We determine what is already available, what needs to be completed and which additional checks or evidence may be required.
03
We agree the scope of work
We define which documents, checks and updates will be prepared or organised as part of the project.
04
We inspect the machine if required
Where necessary, we review safety measures, hazard areas and whether the actual machine corresponds to the available documentation.
05
We prepare the CE documentation
We organise the agreed documents into a clear documentation package and identify any additional actions that may still be required.
06
The manufacturer reviews and approves
The manufacturer remains responsible for the final conformity of the machine and signs the EU Declaration of Conformity where applicable.
You do not need to have everything ready. We start with what you already have and determine the next steps together.

Important: CE Point does not issue CE certificates or provide official approval. We do not replace a notified body, testing laboratory or other specialist where specific independent competence is required. We support manufacturers in preparing conformity-assessment documentation, structuring risk assessments and inspections, and organising the necessary documents. If a project requires independent laboratory testing, measurements or third-party assessment, we identify that requirement separately.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is a certificate always required for CE marking?
No. For many machines, the manufacturer carries out the applicable conformity-assessment procedure. The exact procedure depends on the machine and the requirements that apply to it.
Can you help with a machine that has already been built?
Yes. For an existing machine, we start by comparing the actual machine with the documentation already available and then identify the necessary additions and next steps.
What if I do not have a risk assessment or technical file?
That does not prevent us from starting. CE Point can review the machine information and determine which documents can be prepared or organised as part of the project.
Can you inspect the machine on site?
Yes, where the complexity of the machine or the required checks make an on-site review appropriate.
Who signs the EU Declaration of Conformity?
The declaration is issued and signed by the manufacturer or a person authorised by the manufacturer to do so.
NEXT STEP
Need CE documentation for your machine?
Send us the machine information or the files you already have. CE Point will review the project and provide a specific proposal for preparing or organising the required CE marking documentation.
